Word Royal (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a daily word game operated by Erawest Enterprises. This policy covers the marketing site at wordroyal.com and the game app at play.wordroyal.com. By using either, you agree to the practices described here.
When you sign in to play, we collect your email address and the display name associated with your sign-in. Authentication is handled by our application platform (see “How your data is processed” below).
To run the game and its features, we store your results and progress: which games you completed or missed each day, your solve times, crowns earned, current streak, and the dates you played. This data powers the leaderboard, streaks, and daily one-play limit.
If you turn on daily reminders, we store your preference (on/off), your chosen reminder time, and whether you selected email or browser-push reminders. If you enable browser push, your browser will ask for notification permission.
Like most websites, our hosting providers automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and access times to deliver and secure the service.
We store a small flag in your browser to remember that you’ve already seen a given day’s results screen. This stays on your device and is not used for advertising.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
We share information only with service providers that help us run Word Royal, and only as needed:

You can turn reminders off at any time in your profile, and adjust or revoke browser-notification permission in your browser settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of the EEA and UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA) have these rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, email legal@wordroyal.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.
We keep your account and gameplay data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information except where we must retain it for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Word Royal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We operate from the United States, and your information may be processed and stored in the U.S. or other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes may be highlighted in the app or site.
